Who are Bryson Stott parents?

Bryson Stott was born on October 6, 1997 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Shana Hyatt and Derek Stott.

Bryson Stott was born as the second child to Derek and Shana Stott.

He has one elder brother, Brennen Stott, and a younger sister, Breauna Stott.

Bryson’s father, Derek Stott: A Former UNLV Quarterback

Derek Stott is a graduate of UNLV, where he played quarterback from 1988 to 1991.

He ranks seventh in school history in career passing yards.

After college, Derek played briefly in the NFL for the Kansas City Chiefs.

When asked about his favorite playing days memory, Stott said it was holding a clipboard as a backup redshirt freshman when the Rebels lost 48-6 at Nebraska in 1988.

“Standing on the sidelines, and I had the clipboard and just seeing the fans and seeing the (sold-out) stadium and this just amazing thing — because I hadn’t seen it here, obviously,” said Stott

Derek has always been a huge supporter of Bryson’s baseball career.

He has helped Bryson with his swing and fielding, and he has also taught him how to be a professional on and off the field.

Shana graduated from Eldorado High and, since 1994, has taught there.

She was a P.E. teacher and a cheerleading coach, but for the past seven years, she has run a credit-retrieval program for students who have fallen behind.

Shana drives more than 30 minutes each way to Eldorado, which is located on the East Side of Vegas.

It’s a lower-income area and Shana works with at-risk students.

Shana has three special walls in her classroom at Eldorado High School in Las Vegas.

One, where the Yankee Stadium photo resides, is a family wall that celebrates her three children.

The second is a wall with pictures of her former students.

And the other is a Phillies wall with pennants and photos of Bryson and his teammates. “I don’t talk about it a lot at work,” Shana said.

She has a few students who, until recently, did not realize one of her sons was a big-league ballplayer.

She also works at Clark County School District,  a school district that serves all of Clark County, Nevada, including the cities of Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, and Boulder City.

Bryson’s Parents’ Presence at His Major League Debut

Bryson’s parents were in attendance for his Major League debut on April 8, 2022.

Shana said that she was “pretty emotional” during the game, and that it was “all very real” when Bryson stepped onto the field.

Derek said that he was “extremely proud” of Bryson on his debut day. He also said that he was “happy to see Bryson’s dream come true.”
