The baseball community is mourning the passing of former Baltimore Orioles third baseman Ryan Minor on December 22, 2023.

Allyson Minor is the wife of the late Ryan Dale Minor, an American professional baseball third baseman, minor league baseball manager and professional basketball player.
Allyson Minor is a kindergarten teacher.
Ryan and Allyson got married in 1999 and have two children together, Regan and Finley.
Their first child, Reagan was born on Aug. 26, 2006.
Because she was premature she spent the extra days in the hospital.
For the first month she was home she was fine.
Then she began having symptoms of irritability. She began moaning.
Allyson said the doctors thought it had something to do with the formula she was taking.
Who was Ryan Minor?
Minor, who was drafted by the NBA and MLB after playing basketball and baseball while a student at the University of Oklahoma, took the field for the Baltimore Orioles and Montreal Expos during his four-year MLB career.
He is largely remembered as the player who replaced Cal Ripken Jr. in the Orioles’ starting lineup, putting an end to Ripken’s legendary consecutive games started streak at 2,632.
Minor played 142 games in the majors, hitting .187 with five home runs and 27 RBIs.
After his playing career, Minor settled in Maryland and became a minor-league coach and manager for the Orioles, and later went on to manage in the Detroit Tigers minors system.
