Gerrit Cole, the New York Yankees’ ace pitcher, is one of the most recognizable figures in Major League Baseball.

But behind every great athlete is a supportive partner, and in Cole’s case, that person is his wife, Amy Cole.

Who is Amy Cole?

Amy Cole ( born January 10, 1989) is the wife of successful professional baseball player, Gerrit Cole.

She was formerly known by her birth name Amy Crawford until 2016 when she tied the knot with her high school sweetheart and Major League Baseball (MLB) player Gerrit Cole and took up his name.

Amy and Gerrit both were students at UCLA, and it was there they first met.

Currently, she is a recruiting manager at Essex Mortgage and a career coach at Athletes to Careers.

But she was previously an accomplished softball player and won the Women’s College World Series with the UCLA Bruins.

Her parents are Lynn and Mike Crawford.

Athleticism runs in the Crawford family – like Amy, her younger sister Jenna Crawford was a softball player for the Bruins.

Her older brother Brandon Crawford has a prolific baseball career of his own, having been a shortstop for the San Francisco Giants since 2011.

Marriage life

Cole married his longtime girlfriend, Amy Crawford, exchanged vows on Nov. 12, 2016, at The Ritz-Carlton in Santa Barbara, California, surrounded by close family and friends.

“We wanted our wedding to be personal and intimate,” Amy said of their nuptials.

“I remember watching friends and family members from all different paths of our lives enjoying one another, laughing, singing, and tearing up the dance floor,” she recalled. “I’ll never forget how special that was to take in.”
