Dawn Singleton, 25 – who is the daughter of multi-millionaire advertising guru John Singleton – was due to marry her high school sweetheart, NSW Police Officer Ashley Wildey, in coming months.
Last week, she bought her wedding dress and started sending out ‘save the date’ invitations to her loved ones and friends ahead of the special day.
But her life was tragically cut short, along with five other shoppers, when she was stabbed at Bondi Junction Westfield by Joel Cauchi, 40, on Saturday afternoon.
Affectionately known as Dawn Singleton, the 25-year-old is one of Singleton’s three daughters from his marriage to Julie Martin.
He has eight children in total.
A University of Technology Sydney graduate, Singleton worked as an e-commerce assistant at White Fox Boutique.
In a social media post, White Fox Boutique said the women’s fashion line not only lost an employee but “someone special to us who felt like a family member”
“We are all truly devastated by this loss,” it said.
“Dawn was a sweet, kind hearted person who had her whole life ahead of her. She was really amazing.
“We send our love and deepest condolences to her partner, the Singleton family and her friends.”
Police have identified Bondi Junction mass killer
The man who killed six people in the Bondi Junction stabbing spree has been identified as Joel Cauchi.
Police say Cauchi, 40, who is from the Brisbane area and is understood to have suffered from schizophrenia, moved to Sydney from Queensland a month ago.
There is no suggestion that Cauchi was part of any particular ideology, with police treating the horrific attack as a mental-health related incident.
Police are currently searching through a ‘very small storage facility’ in Sydney that Cauchi rented out shortly after the move.
He was reportedly sleeping rough and had no fixed address.
He listed himself on several male escort websites, including Australia Cracker, Empire Escorts and Escorts Australia.
All websites allow users to upload their own pictures and solicit their own sexual services.
