Texas A&M-Commerce football player Keith Miller III passed away on April 11 at the age of 23.
The tragic news was confirmed by his girlfriend and coaches.
Miller, a wide receiver for the Lions, was remembered fondly by his close friend Brenden Rice, a wide receiver for the USC Trojans.
Rice shared a photo of himself and Miller on his Instagram stories, along with a heartfelt message expressing his love and vowing to take care of Miller’s son.
In another post, Rice paid tribute to Miller, writing “Rest in power” and adding Miller’s full name.
Rice’s Instagram biography now includes a dedication to Miller, with the initials “KM3” followed by a dove emoji and a heart wrapped in a bandage.
Miller’s girlfriend Caila Jae reacted to the news of his death in her story, sharing at-home videos of Miller pranking her and the pair cuddling.
“My favorite place was in your arms,” she wrote.
The following updates featured various photographs and videos with numerous captions expressing her pain at his passing.
“All I want is you,” she said of the former Colorado Buffaloes receiver who transferred to Texas A&M in 2021.
“Please p*** me off again please, please, please.
“I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you.”
She then shared a photograph of a tattoo she has on the top of her thigh just underneath her buttock reading “Keith Issac.”
“I can’t think I can’t eat idk wtf to do w myself I’m truly broken,” Jae wrote.
“I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you,” she added in a post to her grid featuring numerous photos of the couple.
“I will never love anyone the way I loved you. See you soon.”
