The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is currently investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Tuscaloosa, resulting in the death of Kendris Moore.

Captain Marty Sellers told local media late Wednesday night that the Tuscaloosa Police Department and VCU investigators responded to the 3100 block of 2nd Avenue on the initial call of a shooting.

Sellers then said Kendris Moore died as a result of the shooting.

Sellers declined to provide any further details regarding the circumstances of the shooting or potential suspects.

This is the fourth shooting in less than a week in Tuscaloosa County and the second fatal shooting following the killing of a man in Holt over the weekend.
