YouTube star Tiago Eugénio was involved in a tragic car crash and has died aged 28.
The content creator was in a coma for 80 days after the horror incident took place in June.
His mum confirmed his passing with a heartbreaking statement.
She wrote on social media on Thursday: ‘One of the things I always asked God for was that I would never have to go through pain like this. I want to inform you that my love, my Tiago, left this morning.
‘He fought for 80 days. A great warrior, but God wanted it that way. I can only accept it with enormous pain, which destroys my heart.’
She added: ‘To you my beautiful love, mother just wants you to leave in peace. You will definitely have your grandmothers waiting for you, a part of me goes with you. I will love you forever. One day we will meet.’
Eugénio suffered serious injuries after the crash, which took place on the motorway in the Algarve, Portugal. He was trapped in his vehicle and had to be removed by firefighters, according to reports by publication Magg. The Portuguese influencer was treated at Faro Hospital.
The Instagram account belonging to Eugénio, which has 161,000 followers, and his YouTube account, which has over 8,000 subscribers, have been flooded with heartfelt tributes to the star from fans.
His Instagram bio has been updated to read: ‘Tiago passed away today, September 14, 2023.. he will never be forgotten 💓🙏🏻. At the age of 28’.
