Alek Isaiah Collins, a 26-year-old suspect who was wanted in New Mexico for the brutal murder of two individuals and the abduction of an infant, has been apprehended by the Abilene Police.

According to authorities in Clovis, New Mexico, Taryn Allen, 23, Samantha Harley Cisneros, 23, along with Harley’s children, made a stop at a restaurant on Friday afternoon.

Later on, the two adults and two children were spotted at a Dollar Tree store, where they were seen driving a silver minivan.

Around 4:30 p.m., two men found Taryn, Harley and Harley’s 5-year-old daughter, lying next to a silver minivan at a park and called 911.

The three victims were shot. The two women were pronounced dead on the scene but the 5-year-old girl was taken to a hospital in Lubbock.

When police arrived at the scene, they found an infant car seat, stroller and bottle. However, Harley’s 10-month-old daughter, Eleia Maria Torres, was missing.

Officials from the Abilene Police Department announced in a press release they were alerted of the murder suspect’s potential whereabouts Sunday from the FBI.

26-year-old Alek Isaiah Collins was taken into custody early Monday morning.

He is currently being held on charges of Aggravated Robbery and Assault on a Peace Officer with more charges pending.
