Buffalo Police have provided an update on the four teens that were hospitalized following Saturday’s shooting on Alexander Place that also killed Jazzmine Fomby, a 14-year-old girl.

Officials say three of the teenagers, two 15-year-old males and a 16-year-old female that were originally in stable condition at ECMC, have been treated and released from the hospital.

Another 15-year-old male remains in critical, but stable condition at ECMC, Hospital officials tell police he “is on his way to recovery.”

Jazzmine Fomby was brought to Oishei Children’s Hospital on Saturday where she later died.

A sixth teen was grazed by a bullet and refused treatment, according to police.

Buffalo Police said they responded to a call around 10:21 p.m. Saturday for loud music and groups smoking outside.

That call was quickly upgraded to a fight call. Police were on scene for 25-30 minutes dispersing several groups of kids fighting, stemming from a large party at a private residence with hundreds in attendance.

At 11:10 p.m., Buffalo Police responded to an additional call from the same location for shots fired. That’s where they found the six teens shot. Police believe that the shooting was tied to the fight earlier in the night.

At this time, they have not announced any suspects, and the shooter remains at large. Police did say they believe there were three handguns carried at that party but they provided no further details.

Detectives conducting a canvass of the area did find shell casings on Alexander Place so that is where they think the shooter or shooters were standing.

They would not say how many shots were fired.

Police continue to look for those involved in the shooting.

They say they have received additional information and tips from the community Sunday evening.

“I want to make it clear to the shooter or shooters involved in this: consider turning yourself in,” Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown said. “If you have any conscience or any remorse that you killed a 14-year-old girl, you should contact the Buffalo Police and turn yourself in. This is a senseless crime to open fire on a group of children, absolutely makes no sense whatsoever.”
