Rufftown records signee, Fantana has established that she fought her way to get signed by her boss, Bullet and that co record label signee, Wendy Shay didn’t open any doors for her.
The Ghanaian songstress made this known in an interview with Mic Gizo of Accra based Hitz Fm.
According to Fantana in the interview monitored by ghlinks.com.gh, she said the late Ebony Reigns is the inspiration behind the success of everyone at Rufftown Records and that she is the one who can be credited with opening doors for everyone there.
“Ebony opened the door for everybody at Rufftown records”, she said.
Insisting that Wendy Shay also played a part in her success, Mic Gizo insisted that Wendy should be credited too because she came before Fantana but the former USA based singer said it feels offensive to be hearing such comments because she had to work her hard way before getting signed on Rufftown records. According to her, she had to record songs to send to Bullet for him to assess, which he liked and decided to sign her.
She further stated; “what attracted me to Rufftown to come work with Bullet is Ebony. She is the reason why I wanted to be on Rufftown.”
Crediting Wendy Shay, she said she got the number of Bullet from her and that was it.
