Mang Sang: 22-year-old man who was stabbed, run over in South Philadelphia

A 22-year-old man, identified by police as Mang Sang, was killed Monday night in South Philadelphia.

The incident occurred around 7:40 pm in a parking lot under Interstate 95, located at the intersection of Front and Morris streets.

According to authorities, Mang Sang was involved in an altercation with another man. During the fight, Sang was knocked to the ground.

Police allege that the suspect then got into a white Kia and intentionally ran over Sang.

Sang was found with a laceration to his neck while still underneath the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the vehicle belongs to Sang’s family.

The suspect was last seen running off on foot.

Officers recovered a folding knife with about a four-inch blade at the scene.

The investigation into this fatal incident is ongoing.
