GFA President, Kurt Okraku has reached out to the chiefs and people of Prampram to accept the decision of the FA to use the GSCE as an isolation center.
The FA President, Mr. Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku announced the decision to give the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence to the health agencies to be used as an isolation Centre to aid the government in the fight against the novel Coronavirus, COVID-19.
This move however triggered some residents of Prampram who went out in their numbers to demonstrate against the decision and show their displeasure.
However, reports say the FA president has now come in to explain further to the chiefs and people of Prampram and calm them down.
The Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence is an edifice that serves many purposes such as a camp for national teams amongst many others.
Few months ago, it was scheduled to undergo some renovation works to ensure an uplift in the quality of facilities there.
The move by Kurt is a welcome initiative and will go a long way to help the government in the fight against the deadly COVID 19, with Accra being pointed out as one of the red zones for the virus.
