Highlife Music Is Moving Steadly And Will Live Forever – Bisa Kdei

With the introduction of different genres of music in Ghana such as Afro-beat, dancehall, rap, just to mention but a few, many Ghanaians have argued that hihglife music will eventually die out slowly, if not already dead.

Highlife is a genre of music originally attributed to Ghana and is mixed with all the eccentric music elements, coupled with its slow vibe and rich Ghanaian language.

One very young and dedicated musician who is known for his highlife tunes, Richard Kweku Dei Appiah, popularly known as Bisa Kdei has refuted claims that highlife music is on the verge of death and has established that the genre of music will reign forever.

He made this assertion in an exclusive interview with Radio Cental’s Amansan Krakye.

The award-winning musician noted that more young artistes as well as notable ones have embraced the genre of music and fused it in their music, a sign of good faith for the genre of music.

He noted that their act is going to help push highlife music even further. “Right now more people are getting involved in doing their best to ensure that highlife gets to the next level. So what I will say is that the state of highlife music in Ghana is moving steadily and highlife will continue to live forever”, he said.
