“God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve” – Sam George gives slapping reply to BBC journalist [Audio]

Ghanaian legislator Sam George stood his ground once again in the latest radio interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) on the passing of the Anti-LGBTQ Bill in Ghana.

The Ningo-Prampram MP together with other like-minded MPs is pushing for the activities of lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender etc to be criminalized in Ghana.

On the back of that, Sam George has told the international community through interviews with global networks and channels that Ghana will never kowtow to the whims and caprices of the outside world by legalizing LGBTQ.

In a recent interview with the Cable News Network [CNN], Sam George stated unequivocally that the cultural and moral standards of Ghanaians will not allow or accommodate activities of LGBTQ in Ghana.

Sam George in the latest radio interview with BBC has maintained that the Anti-LGBTQ Bill will be passed and nothing will stop it. According to him, Ghanaians have made their collective decision not to allow for the legalization of such activities.

The BBC journalist made Biblical references to the fact that God created mankind in his image thus people of different sexual and gender orientations needed to be considered. Before that, the journalist had also said the Pope had intimated that the LGBTQ community be welcomed and loved by all.

But Sam George in a sharp rebuttal stated that the Bible did not condone activities of LGBTQ. According to him, Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because they practised homosexuality.

Thus the argument that mankind was created in the image of God hence the LGBTQ community needed to be accepted was warped because God created “Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.”

Sam Goerge also added that the fact that the Pope had stated that LGBTQ people should be accepted did not mean it was the official position of the Catholic Church. According to him, the passing of the Anti-LGBTQ Bill in Ghana was more of a moral and cultural argument and less of a religious debate.
