Efia Odo, is not happy with the distribution of food to the vulnerable in the country.
She wants government to halt the distribution of food to the needy and rather give them money during the lockdown period.
In a video posted on her Instagram page, Efia Odo said the manner in which the food is being distributed could cause the spread of the coronavirus.
Her comment comes after vidoes popped up showing people in large crowds waiting to be served food.
The former Kwese TV presenter said the state should consider giving out monies through the mobile money platform.
“I think the Ghanaian people are going to need more than what they are getting. The food is great and it is great that they are going to distribute food, but how can we observe social distance when the food distribution is leading to overcrowding? she quizzed.
The media personality said sending mobile money to the vulnerable will be more helpful in avoiding the spread of the virus.
“I feel like government or whoever is in charge of food distribution should start providing financing support to people because people need money and money moves fast. I think that would probably bring a lot of relief to the needy”, she added.
Efia Odo also recently told fans not to expect money from her because she is also struggling to take care of her family during the pandemic.
