Veteran Ghanaian rapper, Ex-Doe has shared a story of how he was once arrested and detained by the police because of a misunderstanding with dancehall icon, Shatta Wale.
In an interview with TV3, the rapper alleged that Shatta Wale once bribed the police to detain him after a little misunderstanding with him.
Ex-Doe and Shatta Wale have had their own differences in the music space for a while now, with the rapper going the extra mile to record a diss song directed to Shatta Wale.
Delving into the reason for his beef with the Dancehall star, Ex-Doe said he had a small misunderstanding with Shatta Wale and didn’t even assume the matter would escalate as it did. He only realized he had been invited by the police to be detained after Shatta Wale accused him wrongfully of slapping and beating him.
He added that he knew nothing about the supposed allegations but was detained irrespective because he saw Shatta Wale bribing the police to keep him detained. He expressed his disappointment in the act of the police. He stated;
“There was a time I had a problem with Shatta Wale and he went to report me that I wanted to beat him and kill him at the police station. So we went there to the police station. When I got there, I thought it was not true so I was like no this is not true. How can I beat my brother? If there is a little misunderstanding, why will I even beat him? He said I beat him and blah blah… When we got there I even tried to explain but to the police but they detained me for a while”.
