Growing up, he listened to Reggie Rockstone, Obrafour, Outkast and Busta Rhymes records.

His raps and songs were inspired by the records of the musicians he listened to.

Kwaku began writing his own songs in high school (Adisadel College) and joined a four-member group called Ill Deadly Ministers (IDM).

It helped him improve his lyrics and style.

Despite his many fans, Obibini‘s debut single did not fully satisfy a significant part of his fan base, which felt he had gone too long unsigned.

In his music, Obibini blends English and his mother tongue (Twi), a style he feels will help him to go far in the music industry; hence his desire to learn to sing as well.

He focuses on good lyrics when writing his music due to his interest in quality content creation.

Being passionate about African history, the rapper aspires to become a model of excellence in the edutainment industry; his mission is to establish the School Of Afrikan Knowledge (SOAK) to educate, entertain and bridge generational gaps through music and the arts.

As an ardent listener and lover of music, Obibini is not only concerned about the growth of his music but that of the industry as a whole.

Undoubtedly a trendsetter, Obibini highlights the difficulties facing upcoming musicians who follow existing rhythmic trends.

I believe every artiste has his or her unique way of composing, singing and/or rapping, we should learn to appreciate our talents rather than follow trends because if you ignore your uniqueness for existing trends, what happens when trending rhythms end?

With Zylofon Music backing his career over the years, he has achieved success in his career thus far.
