Kendrick Lamar Plays Soccer with Locals in Ghana

Kendrick Lamar is gearing up for the release of his highly-anticipated new album dubbed Mr. Morale & The Big Steepers. In this regard, he has been in Ghana, and a video of him enjoying a soccer game with people in Ghana has surfaced. While it is not the sort of the great games you would wager on the bettors.com.gh site, it got massive attention globally. Before that, another video of the Compton rapper hanging out in Ghana had already gone viral before his LP’s release. Sunday, May 15th, was when Mr. Morale stepped out to enjoy a soccer match with some Ghanaians. The natives appreciated the gesture and shared the video of the game online. In the clip, Lamar is seen waiting as his teammates fight for possession before he makes a goal attempt. In another part of the footage, K Dot is seen posing for a group photo with others who took part in the game. Lamar wore a yellow t-shirt and red shorts, and you can see behind the players in the videos a wall covered with murals. One of the murals was of iconic rapper Tupac Shakur whose voice features on Lamar’s album To Pimp Butterfly. It is not clear how long Lamar has been in Africa, but according to rumors, the rapper was visiting Ghana to host an exclusive listening party before the release of his album. Others claim that he is filming a documentary in the country. Apple Music claims that Kendrick Lamar’s fifth solo studio album is smashing records on the platform. In a tweet, the streaming platform wrote that Lemar’s new album recorded the most first-day streams for an album released in 2022. Lemar will also be going for a world tour surrounding his new LP. The tour, dubbed The Big Steppers Tour, will span 65 dates and kick off on July 19th in Oklahoma City. It will then close in Australia in December. Some reports claim the multi-award-winning rapper has been in Ghana for about a week and has visited several locations across the City. Several videos have shown the rapper having a great time as he gets to know the people and their culture. For example, he is said to have visited a skate park. Another video that has gone viral is of Lamar playing video games with young Ghanaian kids. He is captured wholly focused as he enjoyed the video games. It is understood the game they were enjoying was the popular soccer video game – EA Sports FIFA, at a local game center with a group of young children.
