Joseph Randall Biggs is an American prisoner who was a leading figure in the Proud Boys group.
In March 2021, a federal grand jury indicted Biggs for conspiracy in connection with the 2021 United States Capitol attack.
He was subsequently indicted on seditious conspiracy charges in June 2022, along with four other Proud Boy leaders, for his role in that attack.
In May 2023, a jury found Joe Biggs and three other Proud Boys members guilty of seditious conspiracy.
Joe Biggs was sentenced to 17 years in prison on August 31, 2023.
Biggs’s sentence was one of the stiffest penalties issued so far in more than 1,100 criminal cases stemming from the Capitol attack and among only a handful to have been legally labeled an act of terrorism.
Joe Biggs wife: Who was Joe Biggs married to?
Joe Biggs was married and had a daughter, got divorced, and joined the Proud Boys, whose founder, Gavin MacInnes, hired Biggs to host his own show on the website Censored.TV.
In 2018, he moved from Austin, Texas, to the Daytona Beach area.
He relocated primarily to be near and care for his mother, a cancer patient whose husband (and Biggs’ stepfather) and day-today caregiver had passed away shortly before.
Biggs also brought with him from Texas to Florida his one-year old daughter.
His daughter’s biological mother and Biggs’ estranged wife soon followed Biggs to Florida.
The two parents for some time now have shared custody of their daughter under an arrangement in which the child is physically with Biggs days during the workweek and with the child’s mother on the weekends.
In recent months, his daughter spends each night with either Bigg’s mother or the child’s mother
