Donald Trump’s first wife Ivana Trump, 73, has died, the former U.S. president said on Thursday.
“I am very saddened to inform all of those that loved her, of which there are many, that Ivana Trump has passed away at her home in New York City,” Donald Trump said in a post on the social medial platform Truth Social.
The couple married in 1977 and divorced in 1992. They had three children together: Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric.

According to ABC 7, police responded to Ivana Trump’s Manhattan apartment on the Upper East Side at 12.40pm on Thursday after receiving a 911 call about a person in cardiac arrest.
Officials said the 73-year-old’s death is not considered suspicious, adding that it appears she died of natural causes, the outlet noted.
The Trump family also released a statement confirming Ivana’s death. According to ABC 7, it read,
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ivana Trump. Our mother was an incredible woman — a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and caring mother and friend. Ivana Trump was a survivor. She fled from communism and embraced this country. She taught her children about grit and toughness, compassion and determination. She will be dearly missed by her mother, her three children and ten grandchildren.
