Who Is Ebony Reigns
Priccilla Opoku-Kwarteng born 16 February 1997; popularly known by her stage name Ebony (Reigns) is a Dancehall/Afrobeats artist based in Ghana, West Africa – widely known for her hit songs “Poison”and “Kupe”.
Early Life
Born and raised in Accra, Ghana, Miss Reigns began her early education at Method Girls’ at Mamfe in the Akuapim North District of the Eastern Region before dropping out in 2015 to peruse her passion for music full time.
Career
Renowned musician and entrepreneur Bullet of Ruff n Smooth fame then discovered ebony that same year.
She sent a recording of her voice and was signed to his label; ‘‘Ruff Town Records’ just a day after listening to the recording.
The young entertainer debuted her first single, “Dance Floor”, in December 2015 with a video and audio release just before the close of that year.
The song became a hit on radio landing her a nomination for the unsung category at the 2016 Ghana Music Awards.
In March 2016 Ebony Reigns released her second single “Kupe”, which is a household anthem in Ghana and some other African countries and currently has over 270,000 YouTube views.
Subsequently in January 2017 ‘Bony stormed the scene with sultry new visuals for her new song titled “Poison’’ (which has gained over 480,000 YouTube streams) the song, which premiered live on one of Africa’s leading radio stations (LIVE FM), has a cool dancehall and R&B feel with the visuals portraying just that! The video was shot in various locations throughout Dubai and was directed by Yaw Skyface.

Ebony Reigns Confirmed Dead
Verified information reaching Gh Links indicates that Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng aka Ebony Reigns has died in a gory accident.
The Ashanti Regional Police Commander, Ken Yeboah in an interview on Abusua FM in Kumasi confirmed the sad event. According to him, the songstress had a fatal accident around 11 pm Thursday, February 8, 2018 on her way from Sunyani
According to reports, the driver, however, survived and is responding to treatment. On records, Ebony is popular for songs like Kupe, Date Ur Father, Hustle and many others. She recently launched her maiden album christened, “Bonified”.
