In January 2019, ghlinks.com.gh reported that the world’s richest man, Jeff Bezos and his wife were heading for divorce after reports of Jeff’s alleged infidelity with 49-year-old helicopter pilot girlfriend and former Fox TV host, Lauren Sanchez surfaced.

Just three months after, the couple has come to an agreement of a whopping $35 billion dollar as settlement for Mackenzie Bezos, which automatically makes her the fourth richest woman in the world. Additionally, she gets to retain 4% stake in Amazon. Mackenzie made this announcement via her newly created Twitter account.

Preceding her on the list of “World’s Richest Women” are: Jacqueline Badger Mars (third richest woman worth $37 billion dollars), Alice Walton (second richest woman) and Francois Bettencourt Meyers (world’s richest woman).

Despite the hefty settlement made by Jeff, the Amazon founder is still the world’s richest man. This record breaking divorce settlement steals the title from Joselyn, ex-wife of art dealer Alec Wildenstein who initially topped the list of world’s most expensive divorce with $3.8billion dollars. 

Besides being known as the ex-wife of the world’s richest man, Mackenzie is a successful American novelist in her own right who has authored two books; “The Testing of Luther Albright” and “Traps”.
