Actor Chinwetalu Agu brutalized by soldiers

Veteran Nollywood actor, Chinwetalu Agu, has reportedly been harassed by soldiers because of the colors of the Biafran flag he wore.

ghlinks.com.gh understands that the incident occurred in the Upper Iweka area of Anambra state.

It was gathered that the Nigerian soldiers had stopped the Nollywood actors, bringing him out of his vehicle for interrogation.

Recall that Chinwetalu Agu had recently rocked the Biafra flag attire in post on social media.

The photos of the 65-year-old actor in half of a yellow sun outfit has stirred reactions as fans expressed fear for his safety, warning the authorities that nothing should happen to him for expressing his right.

The Federal Government had banned the flying of the Biafra flag in the southeast following the now-violent agitations by the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

The Nnamdi Kanu-led group which is calling for a referendum for the creation of Biafra Republic has been fingered as the brains behind the continuous violence that has rocked the southeast region.

Violence which had increased to alarming rates in Imo has now shifted to Anambra state ahead of the state’s governorship election.

This violence has since an increase in kidnapping, cult-related killings, assassinations, arson amongst other vices.

Southeast governors, traditional rulers and leaders had recently met in Enugu state to proffer solution to the rising insecurity.

One of such solution is the rejuvenation of the southeastern security network, codenamed Ebube Agu.
