Ghanaian actor turned politician, John Dumelo has advised the president HE Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo to start the distribution of yet-to-arrive ambulances from the Northern part of Ghana.
According to the actor, it would help immensely since the residence of these areas are in dying need of it.
The country has for a long while been in an urgent need of ambulances since the ones available can’t serve the rising [population. Various stake holders and citizens at large have from time to time called on government to heed to the numerous cries since more lives are lost due to delay in providing health care. In view of this, the government through sitting president Nana Addo promised to handle the issue with immediate response it deserves.
Taking to his official twitter page to suggest ways of distributing the incoming ambulances, the actor said the Northern part of the country should be looked at first before the south because of its alarming need of them. Moreover, the number of constituencies there are limited as compared to the south. He wrote;
“Dear @NAkufoAddo, please my suggestion. Start the distribution of ambulances from the Northern sector. There are less than 70 constituencies up there. Savannah, Upper West, Upper East, North East and Northern Region. Then when the next batch arrive in January you shift to the middle sector and then finally to the Southern constituencies. Please don’t wait till all of them arrive before distributing them. People are dying. #savelives #releaeambulances.”
