Lewiston, Maine police have identified Robert Card, a 41-year-old retired military officer, as the main suspect in the shootings at at least two businesses in the city.
Card is a trained firearms instructor who is believed to have served in the U.S. Army Reserve until recently.
Following the incident, Card’s Facebook page was swiftly taken down.
However, individuals managed to capture screenshots before its removal, which have since been circulated.
Notably, he expressed an interest in bowling on his Facebook profile.
Public records indicate Card’s residence as Bowdoin, Maine, and list his age as 40, with his date of birth noted as April 4, 1983.
Card, a father of three with two divorces in his history, has a record of prior arrests for domestic violence and other offenses.
Notably, one of his former spouses secured a restraining order against him.

Robert Card opened fire at a bowling alley and a bar in Lewiston, Maine, on Wednesday night, killing at least 20 people and injuring dozens more.
As of 11 p.m. Wednesday, the Robert Card remained at large as authorities ordered residents and business owners to stay inside and off the streets.
A shelter in place order was initially issued for Lewiston. That shelter in place remains as of midnight, and is now expanded into Lisbon, authorities said.
A vehicle related to the investigation was found in the Lisbon area, officials said, prompting the newest warning.
In addition to authorities across the state, agents with Boston’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are responding.
Central Maine Medical Center has called the incident a “mass casualty event, mass shooter event.”
