Sky News and ITN presenter Rae Stewart has died aged 56.
His colleagues have paid tribute to the ‘brilliant journalist’, who has passed away following an ‘illness’.
Stewart had worked in journalism for more than 20 years at places such as Sky, ITN and GMTV.
Stewart worked as a reporter for more than two decades, with his work taking him from STV, the Scottish free-to-air public broadcast television channel, to GMTV.
He later became a communications consultant, working across fields including government and businesses.
Now, in light of his untimely demise, many are curious about his personal life, particularly his marital status.

Yes, Rae Stewart was married to his journalist wife, Vicki Young whom he met in Westminster.
The couple tied the knot in Cornwall but could not immediately start a family due to his diagnosis of test*cular cancer.
Rae eventually had surgery to remove the test*cle and they were able to start a family.
Young started at the BBC as a reporter at BBC Wales before joining the One O’clock News as a political correspondent.
She was a correspondent for BBC Breakfast from 2008 to 2011.
In 2015, she was promoted to the role of BBC News’ chief political correspondent. Since 2020, she has been the Beeb’s deputy political editor.
