Pearl Modiadie had her high school education at Norkem Park High School located in Kempton Park Johannesburg.
She later proceeded to Rosebank College to study Journalism and Media Studies, where she graduated in 2009.
Career
Pearl started her media career from a very tender age when she presented on E- TV’s Craz-e, a Kids Television platform in 2007.
Since then, she has gone on to present other television shows such as Sistahood, Raw Silk, Expresso and the massively successful Zaziwa – A music talk show which occupied the prime-time slot boasting millions of viewers each week and which Pearl was nominated for a South African Film and Television Award (SAFTA) for Best TV Presenter.
She won the Favourite TV Presenter at the 2019 Mzansi Viewer’s Choice Awards.
Currently, Pearl can be seen on the 3rd season of ‘It Takes A Village’ on SABC1, where Pearl goes back to her hometown Tembisa to help young people by giving them opportunities that will help strengthen and rebuild their family dynamics.
Pearl Modiadie lends her presenting skills to corporate companies as well as a Corporate TV Presenter for internal TV shows.
She is also a voice-over artist with a range to accommodate any commercial or corporate script.
One of her passions is radio and she until recently co-hosted a lunchtime radio show, Lunch with Thomas & Pearl weekdays at 12:00 – 15:00 on Metro FM.

The year 2009 gave Pearl the opportunity to further explore her talent, this time behind the mic on Gauteng’s youth radio station YFM.

The year 2012 proved to be fruitful when she was moved to another slot, this time hosting The Jumpstart, a weekend breakfast show between 6:00 – 9:00. 2015.
Pearl has proudly MC’d many high-profile events such as The SAFTAS (The South African Film and Television Awards, Metro FM Music Awards, Mbokodo Women in the Arts Awards, Crown Gospel Music Awards, and the Audi Festival of Motoring.
Pearl has worked as a brand and campaign ambassador with multiple brands and campaigns including some such as Standard Bank, Ponds, Always, Shoprite, Woolworths, Ackermans, Lux, Edgars, and PEP.

Modiadie, who at first was afraid to go public about being a victim of sexual harassment at her former job, has detailed the numerous disturbing experiences she endured under her male manager while working at a national broadcasting station.
