Marissa Lewis: North St. Louis shooting suspect identified as 28-year-old woman

Marissa Lewis, a 28-year-old individual, has been charged with Murder 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to a call for a shooting around 2:45 a.m. in the 2900 block of Thomas Avenue in St. Louis’ Jeff-Vander-Lou neighborhood.

Upon their arrival, officers discovered 26-year-old Brittany Richie lying unconscious on the sidewalk, having sustained apparent gunshot injuries.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were summoned and unfortunately declared the victim deceased at the location.

Brittany leaves behind 5 children including a newborn.
