Kedar Jahari Rogers, 22 and Ibn Reid have been apprehended in connection with a shooting that took place at QuikTrip on Memorial Day.
According to the Police, Kedar Jahari Rogers is facing a murder charge and Ibn Reid is facing a charge of accessory after a murder.
During the early morning hours of May 31, police said Rodgers and Reid were both arrested without incident.
After conducting interviews with both suspects, Rodgers and Reid were transferred to the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
The family of the victim has been notified of the arrests.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said they were on Central Avenue near North Sharon Amity Road for a drag racing disturbance call around 11:40 p.m.
While at the scene, they heard gunshots ring out across the street.
A viewer video sent to Channel 9 shows a packed QuikTrip right before gunshots are heard going off.
CMPD said a large number of vehicles left the area when the shots were fired.
Officers immediately went to where they had heard the gunshots and found Donald Taylor, 21, who had been shot.
He died at the scene, officers said.
