Sekondi constituency Member of Parliament for the ruling New Patriotic Party, Honourable Andrew Egyapa Mercer has waded into reactions concerning the calls for the replacement of Mahama.
Egyapa Mercer made a bold statement and declared that the NPP is keen on breaking the eight-year cycle that has existed since 1992.
According to him, NPP will step up their efforts and implement many projects that would campaign for them in the lead-up to the election.
Speaking in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosiisen show hosted by Osei Bonsu, he declared that Mahama is no longer needed by Ghanaians and it is evident in his two consecutive defeat in the elections. He argues that Mahama will record the biggest defeat for NDC in the 2024 elections.
“We are very focused and working harder to break that 8-year cycle. We have started and will complete all the infrastructure projects we have began. 2024 will be a great year for the NPP and as for NDC, Mahama will give them their biggest defeat ever.”
