Deontay Jay Lynch has been identified as the man found in hotel room in Greenville.
Jeremy Holt with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office says authorities were called Friday to the Days Inn and Suites regarding a burglary in progress.
According to Holt, a man was found dead inside one of the suites when authorities arrived.
The coroner has identified the man as Deontay Jay Lynch, 29, of Inman.
According to the coroner, Lynch was found with a gunshot wound and his death has been ruled as a homicide.
An autopsy was performed on Lynch on Saturday and his manner of death is being ruled as a homicide, coroner says.
There are no suspects at this time, but investigators suspect foul play in this incident, Holt says.
This incident remains an ongoing investigation, according to officials.
