Multiple award winning Ghanaian actor, Adjetey Annan has opened up on working relationships between colleague actors by disclosing that they do not work for free.

The actor, revealing this to Akwesi Aboagye of Peace Fm’s Entertainment Review show on Saturday disclosed that even though the monies they take from their colleagues who are movie producers aren’t much, working for them isn’t on a free basis. “I think in most cases we support each other. Our industry also goes through certain faces like capital for shooting movies, etc but we don’t do it for free. Definitely they will pay something. We all know we are supporting but we pay each other.”

The actor was in the company of Yvonne Nelson at Peace Fm to promote her upcoming movie SIN CITY which premieres on Valentine’s Day. Narrating his role in the movie, he said he was a detective who was hired to solve a case. “something happened to the couple and they felt the need to hire a the services of a detective. That is where my expertise came in.”

Responding to why he tagged along to promote the movie, he said it was necessary because it also helps him to market himself. “our job is like that. If a friend, colleague or producer calls you to tag along after you have worked for him/her, you have to consider because you are not only promoting them but you are also selling your brand. At the end of the day, you can also get more jobs”.

Replying to whether he found his role in the movie challenging, Adjetey Annan said he had played the role of a detective in two movies, and found it less challenging on in SIN CITY. “I’ve worked on two detective roles. I did my research before I did that in the contest of Ghanaian settings.”
