Parenting is a stage in life where in most cases, both parents create a lasting bond between themselves and their children. The debate on which parent who bonds better with the children, (between the mother and father) is a long one which could take forever.

However, BET award winner, Livingstone Etse Satekla aka Stonebwoy thinks mothers are the closest to their children and bond better with them than fathers do in general. In an interview with Accra based Hitz Fm on Sunday, the musician said his daughter would even speak less of him someday. “My daughter will speak less of me somehow. Lol!”

As monitored by ghlinks.com.gh, the baafira hit maker told Frankie, host of THIS IS GOSPEL that he was very close to his daughter, but mothers always come first regardless because the child grew up inside of them for months and mostly, they alone feel the burning edge to create a strong relationship with children. He added that fathers are mostly away from home attending to business and other stuff. “I’m trying to be realistic over here. She was in her mother’s womb for nine months. Where were you?”

The dancehall artiste who described his submissions as practical said fathers create bonds with their children, but the bond never surpasses that of the mothers. “If you have a child, let’s be practical. In most cases, I think the bond between the father and child can’t surpass the mother’s.”

Responding to Frankie on why he speaks so much about his mother rather than  his dad, he said he bonded so well with his mother and got her support in everything he ever did he added that he owes his achievements to his mother. He added that he bonds so well with his dad too, even though he speaks less of him and described that as special.
