Russell Norman, the celebrity chef and restaurateur, died on November 24, 2023, at the age of 57.

His death was a shock to the culinary world, and many people are still wondering what caused it.

So, what was the cause of Russell Norman’s death?

Russell Norman died following a cardiac arrest, the Standard reported.

It is reported his family were with him when he died.

His business partner Richard Beatty, who co-founded restaurants Spuntino and Polpo with Russell, paid tribute to his “best friend”.

He said: “It is with the greatest sadness I announce the loss of my best friend Russell Norman.

“After a short battle in hospital, he died surrounded by family and friends.

“Russell is survived by his wife and three children, I ask that you respect the privacy of his family, friends and colleagues at this time.”

Russell welcomed three children during his life.

He welcomed his son Ollie during a previous relationship.

Together with his wife Jules, he had two daughters – Martha and Mabel.

Who was Russell Norman?

Russell was renowned for his Italian-inspired cuisine, and had opened multiple restaurants and written several cookbooks during his impressive career in the food industry.

He was best known for the POLPO chain of eateries, as well as their successful spin-offs, Spuntino and Polpetto.

He was born in Perivale, and as a small child, moved to Hounslow with his younger brothers.
