NSMQ Winner 2021: Prempeh College wins 2021 NSMQ competition
Bringing their championship tally to five,Prempeh College from the Ashanti region has emerged as the winner of this year’s National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) competition.
The team scored 53 points compared to 49 points by the Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School (PRESEC.)
Third place went to Keta Senior High and Technical School (KETASCO) with 30 points.
This was the first time KETASCO had reached the final stages of the competition.
ABSA Bank awarded KETASCO a prize money of GHc3000 as bronze winners.
Dr Elsie Kaufmann, the Quiz Mistress, said that although PRESEC did very well, this was not their year.

Dr Kaufmann congratulated the PRESECANS, who were hoping to win the trophy for the seventh time in line with their slogan, “We are ‘SEVEN’ a living God”.
In addition to their silver medal, they will receive GH¢4900 from Absa Bank.
In terms of the number of wins, PRESEC remains the most successful.
Prempeh College currently occupies the second position on the table of schools with the most wins, having won the competition five times as against PRESEC’s six.
As champions for 2021, Prempeh College gets the prize money of GH¢5300 from Absa Bank and an additional GH¢10,000 from Prudential Bank and the NSMQ star with the highest scorer from AirtelTigo.
There are other prize monies for the contestants and special awards.
