A former Independent Presidential aspirant, Jacob Osei Yeboah has alleged that the reason why President Akufo-Addo is easily getting his decisions and appointments approved in Parliament despite the hung parliament is because he has a stranglehold on some NDC MPs.
According to JOY, the President is using the complicity of some NDC MPs in the infamous double salaries saga to squeeze their balls, therefore whipping them in line.
The double salary saga is a massive scandal which rocked the Country in 2018 in which some Ministers in the erstwhile Mahama administration were charged with stealing for allegedly taking double salaries.
According to JOY, President Akufo-Addo may be using this incident and the threat of jail to coerce these MPs into supporting his appointments and policies.
The rank and file of the NDC have been left fuming in recent times because of the approval of some ministerial appointees of the President against the wishes of the Party.
However, despite their public outcry and expressions, the Minority Caucus keeps building consensus with their counterparts in the Majority, the recent being the approval of Ken Ofori Atta as Minister for Finance.
However, In a Facebook post, JOY believes President Akufo-Addo is outwitting the NDC with his superior political experience.
