A Memphis DJ known as Slick Rick was discovered decapitated by his brother in his Tennessee home.
Rick Buchanan, known by his DJ name ‘Slick Rick,’ was allegedly gruesomely beheaded in a suspicious incident which is being investigated by the police.
What happened to DJ Slick Rick?
On January 24, 2024, Buchanan was found dead by his brother John.
While recalling how he discovered his brother’s beheaded body, John said to WHBQ: “I walked in and found him, and I just called 911.
“I thought his coat was up over his head like it was cold or something.
“I ran out and then I ran back in. And then, I realized it was something worse.”
Buchanan’s death follows 10 years after he was previously wounded during a shooting at his family’s nightclub.
On May 18, 2014, the DJ was shot at The Stage Shop in Memphis.
He recalled to Action News 5: “Two guys with bandanas ran down the wall with pistols and opened fire.
“I didn’t even have a dollar on me. I laid down as soon as I ran back into the club, laid down, and said, ‘I’m going into shock and about to die. I’ve been shot.’
“Man, the most precious thing on earth is that little breath of air.”
Although Buchanan recovered from the violent ordeal, his brother told the abovementioned outlet that the shooting made him more reclusive.
