Leonor Priestle, mother of Robert Yancy Jr, a convicted sex offender who escaped from the Clemens Unit in Brazoria has been arrested.
Leonor Priestle was arrested Monday morning in connection to his escape.
Leonor Priestle has been charged with Permit/Facilitate an Escape and her boyfriend Russell Williams was charged with Criminal Intent to Escape.
She was reportedly driving the same white Nissan her son was last seen in after he escaped from prison on Sunday afternoon.
Police said they pulled Yancy’s mother over at a traffic light shortly before 8:30 p.m. Sunday, though the escapee was nowhere to be found.
Police said she was taken into custody for an outstanding felony warrant related to Yancy’s escape from prison.

Yancy has been serving a life sentence without parole since 2022 for Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child out of Victoria County.
The girl was only seven years old when Yancy started abusing her over a three year period, according to the Victoria County District Attorney’s Office.
The victim and her brother testified against him at the trial. Jurors took less than 30 minutes to convict him, according to the Victoria Advocate.
Yancy had been last seen at approximately 3:38 p.m. on Sunday at the Clemens Unit in Brazoria, Texas.
Details on how Yancy was able to escape and how he was captured were not immediately released.
