Owner of the residence used as an office for the LGBTQI+ Group in Kwabenya Dr. Asenso Gymbibi has indicated that the tenants of the house are in breach of the tenancy agreement and has vowed to deal with them in court.

According to him, the facility is purely residential and in no way should have been converted into an office space especially for the purpose they were using it for.

As a result of this he said while going to the residence which is in Kwabenya in Accra, he called on the national security, the police, and other individuals who can help him deal with occupants of the building.

“What they did is in clear breach of the tenancy agreement because the place is purely for residential and not for such a purpose. So this morning we contacted the Police and National Security and we decided to carry out the operation.

On their part, the Kwabenya Traditional Council represented by its spokesperson, Nii Ayi said there is the need to deal with the spiritual aspect of the whole issue as the security agencies are dealing with the criminal aspect of it.

To him, no traditional area in Ghana should entertain such persons in their areas because they call on destruction recalling what happened to Sodom and Gomorrah in the bible.
