Veteran journalist and Editor-in-chief of the New Crusading Guide, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako has warned the National Democratic Congress against going to court to contest the 2020 general elections on the basis that the court does not deal with conspiracy theories.

The NDC has decided to head to court and will file a petition at the Supreme Court on Wednesday 30th December 2020. Its decision to challenge the results in court is in a bid to redress the figures announced by the EC and also to prove that there’s a clear case of rigging in the elections.

In a post by the veteran journalist, he congratulated Mahama on finally deciding to settle his grievances through the right channels (ie court) mentioning that it is in a positive bid to protect the peace of the nation.

Kweku Baako however mentioned that the NDC needs to be aware of the fact that courts deal with facts rather than conspiracy or ‘hear say’ theories, noting that they need to be prepared fully with adequate facts and figures.

A portion of his piece read; “To apply the kwasia bi nti logic, any idiot can go to court but the note of caution is that the court does not interrogate suspicions, rumours and conjecture. They deal with facts, evidence and law”.
