Demonstrations will continue despite our decision to settle matters in court – Mahama

The flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress, HE. John Dramani Mahama has said that the NDC will continue with demonstrations despite its decision to proceed to court.

Mahama made this known in a Facebook live video on his official Facebook page early Wednesday.

The NDC are to petition the highest court of the land, the Supreme Court in a bid to seek redress of the just ended 2020 presidential elections.

According to the leadership of the party, the EC rigged the elections in favor of President Akuffo Addo’s NPP. The legal team of the NDC seeks to query the EC boss, Madam Jean Mensah about her figures in the just-ended elections and also present evidence on varying figures it has.

In his live video, Mahama noted that the decision to go to court was reached on Tuesday by the National Executive Committee of the party. He added that they will continue any other form of seeking redress such as demonstrations to ensure that justice is served.

He said; “While in court, the NDC will continue all legitimate actions, including protests, to demand the enforcement of the rule of law and protection of life and property of the good people of Ghana,”
