Jill Biden, the First Lady of the United States has tested positive for COVID-19, her communications director announced Tuesday.
The positive diagnosis comes as the Biden’s wrap up their family vacation in Kiawah Island, South Carolina – and just a few weeks after President Joe Biden had the virus himself.
Joe Biden first contracted the virus on 21 July, when he was revealed to be experiencing mild symptoms.
Biden, who is fully vaccinated and twice boosted, was prescribed the antiviral therapy Paxlovid, a standard course of treatment for people who are considered to be at higher risk of adverse affects of COVID, including anyone over 50.
