- Buffalo Soulja said he wants a lyrical battle with Shatta Wale on a stage.
South African based Zimbabwean dancehall artiste, Buffalo Soulja has hinted that he has already begun the recording of a diss song directed to Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale.
The award-winning dancehall artiste revealed this in a phone interview with Accra based Zylofon Fm on Thursday.
Social media went ablaze when the South African based dancehall artiste ranted about who rightfully owns the title ‘King of African Dancehall’. According to Buffalo Soulja, he has been in the dancehall music scene of Africa for over 15 years and is the known ‘African Dancehall King’, with awards to his credit.
Shatta Wale for some few years now has also claimed ownership of the title ‘African Dancehall King’ and is known as such.
As monitored by ghlinks.com.gh, Buffalo Soulja told host Sammy Flex that ever since he started calling out Shatta Wale, the Ghanaian dancehall artiste has been on the run, leaving the war for his fans. In view of this, he (Buffalo Soulja) has hit the recording studio and is putting a diss song together to call out Shatta Wale for the fight of supremacy to start. “I’m already working on something. The beef is already cooking”, he said.
Buffalo Soulja again called for a lyrical battle with Shatta Wale to determine who really should be crowned the King of African Dancehall. According to him, the lyrical content shouldn’t be vulgar and foreign but should be English or ‘Patoa’ so everyone can understand and judge rightfully.
