Celebrated gospel musician, Celestine Donkor has said that she believes in prophecies that rules out doom and declares life.
According to Celestine Donkor, these prophecies are positive prophecies and that’s the way Jesus went with his works.
There have been numerous instances in the country where various prophets have prophesized death on prolific individuals. This has raised a lot of eyebrows as to whether these are genuine prophecies from God.
Sharing her take on whether she believes in prophecies, the gospel singer told Media Generale’s Mzgee in an interview that she doesn’t totally condemn prophecies but chooses to pay more attention to the positive ones.
According to her, Jesus on his mission on earth gave life to the dead and hope to the hopeless. She added that the walk of Christianity rules out fear and thus prophecies about fear shouldn’t be encouraged.
She said; “I don’t doubt prophecies at all, I only think that there has to be a particular way of communicating prophecies because what I have never read in the Bible about Jesus, is to give negative utterances but rather he says, you will not die but live.
“The Bible says let the poor say I am rich, let the weak say I am strong, so if you see somebody die, you rather call the person and speak life into the person without letting anyone know about it”.
