I Am Not Responsible For The Bad Roads In Ashanti Region; Blame Gov’t – Wontumi

Road projects in the Ashanti Region have been stalled as a result of the unavailability of funds from the Central Government contrary to earlier claims there was money available for the completion of such projects, Chairman Wontumi has said.

This comes after residents pointed fingers at him for abandoing road projects causing danger to pedestrians.

Addressing the issue, noted that he personally funded the road projects however, government is yet to release funds therefore, until those funds are released for him to pay his debtors, the various projects cannot be continued.

He called on residents to remain patient as appointees of the government go through their vetting so the finance minister can release funds to complete the projects.
