A 57 year old man identified as Jason Hudiburg has been taken into custody for the fatal stabbing of his wife, Cathy Hudiburg.
On Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at around 3:59 p.m., Colleyville Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 6700 block of St. Moritz Parkway, where a stabbing was reported.
Two male family members were detained upon arrival.
Inside the house, officers discovered an unconscious victim on the kitchen floor.
Colleyville Fire Department Paramedics arrived but determined the victim had sustained a fatal stab wound.
The female, identified as 57-year-old Cathy Jones Hudiburg, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Following investigation and interviews, the victim’s husband, 57-year-old Jason Hudiburg, was taken into custody by Colleyville Police and is now facing charges of murder.
Colleyville Police, in collaboration with North Richland Hills Crime Scene Investigators, are actively processing the crime scene.
The department assures the community that this was an isolated incident, and there is no threat to public safety.
