The host of Good Evening Ghana on Metro TV, Paul Adom Otchere, has heavily descended on investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure for failing to give credit to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo for the siting of the Twitter African headquarters in Ghana.
Twitter announced on 12/04/2021 and confirmed it was setting up its headquarters on the continent in Ghana.
This announcement has triggered a lot of reactions across the globe with some Ghanaians expressing divergent views on it.
Notable among the reactions was that of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, who expressed his delight and welcomed the decision of Twitter.
In another sharp reaction to the news on Facebook, Award winning investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure, expressed his opinion on Facebook and gave credence to former President John Agyekum Kuffour, Professor John Evans Atta Mills and John Dramani Mahama for contributing to Ghana’s media freedom and has made the country attractive for Twitter to choose Ghana as the African hub.
This post was greeted with mixed reactions from the public.
Paul Adom Otchere, during an editorial on his show, accused Manasseh Azure of being bitter and suffering from “delusion of self grandeur”.
A delusion of self grandeur is a person’s belief that, they are someone other who they are such as, a supernatural being, a celebrity or a person with special abilities.
Without mincing his words, Paul Adom Otchere reiterated that, the journalist was suffering from a psychological disorder a must therefore get help.and stop being bitter about President Akuffo Addo. He said, the journalist equally criticized former President John Dramani Mahama but his criticism for President Akuffo obviously appears too bitter.
