We cannot forgive you for this – Kelvin Taylor boldly tells NPP MP

Kelvin Taylor promises biggest scandal that will rock Ghana on November 30 min

Kelvin Ekow Taylor has waded into reactions concerning the retraction and apology from one NPP MP during the vetting of Ministerial nominees.

In what he described as a disappointment, he has chided the MP for uttering such uncouth comments in the Parliament House.

According to Kelvin Taylor, his conduct is unacceptable and must be condemned by Ghanaians.

He argues that it is becoming a normal practice where our leaders commit avoidable and abominable actions and later make a U-turn to render an apology to Ghanaians.

He asserts that it was a direct threat for an MP to make such statements in Parliament against his fellow lawmaker.

This comment follows after the Member of Parliament for Hohoe Constituency and Minister-Designate for Railway Development, Honourable John Peter Amewu rendered an unqualified apology to the Appointment Committee for making some threatening comments during the inauguration of the 8th Parliament on January 6, 2021.

According to the MP, he overreacted by using such words which is one of his weaknesses that he is working on.

In his own words, he said, “I used that word kill and I regret it. I want to withdraw the word unconditionally. My constituents are watching me. I am a peaceful man. The use of the word was an overreaction, which is one of my negative aspects and I’m trying to work on that.”

However, it seems this did not go down well with Kelvin Taylor who has chided the MP over his conduct. Speaking on his televised With All Due Respect Show last night, he made the following bold declaration;

“It is becoming obvious that some people are taking us for granted. Some have made up their minds that they will destroy people and when they are been questioned they will apologize. Can an MP stand in Parliament and say I will kill you all? That is too low for our country. We cannot forgive you for this.”

“That was a direct threat and he has to be standing trial by now. I am not against the apology but where you made that statement was sacred; that is where we make laws for people to follow. You shouldn’t have made that statement no matter how angry you were.”
