The suspect in connection to a recent shooting outside Joe Mixon’s home has been identified as Shalonda Mixon, who is Joe’s sister.
According to TMZ Sports, Shalonda Mixon, 34, and another unnamed individual has been “named as a suspect” in the alleged incident.
The shooting is supposed to have taken place while a group of juveniles were playing a game called “dart wars” near Mixon’s home at around 8.25pm, per the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office incident report.
The report also specifies, via TMZ, that one of the game’s players, a 16-year-old, was fired at after approaching Mixon’s home with a “‘Nerf’ style toy gun.”
The report also goes on to state that the “unknown suspect(s)” shot eleven rounds in total at the boy from within Mixon’s backyard – one of which hit him in the foot.
According to the documents, a black Honda Accord was spotted leaving the property not long after the shooting.
Police say that a following stop of the vehicle revealed Shalonda Mixon, 34, and a man named Lamonte Brewer, 34, were the occupants.
Both reportedly were identified as suspects in the shooting incident.
No arrests have been made at this time.
