NDC Member of Parliament for Tamale Central constituency, Honourable Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed has made a bold declaration concerning the ongoing Ministerial vetting.
In an interview on the Alhaji and Alhaji show hosted by Sena Nombo, Murtala Mohammed registered his resentment over the re-appointment of some of the Ministers.
According to him, there are some of the Ministers-Designate who out of no respect for Ghanaians peddle falsehood before the Committee.
He asserts that the Finance Minister, Kenneth Ofori Atta must be questioned by the Committee especially, those MPs from the NDC.
He indicated that any attempt to protect shall not be embraced by the NDC MPs.
He said; “Even if a person is approved at the Committee level and one person disagrees as a member of the Appointment Committee, it has to be brought before the House for a decision to be made. I am aware that Nana Addo is dreaded if the Finance Minister-Designate doesn’t get approval at the Committee level.”
“Even NPP MPs will not approve him if it is brought before the House to decide. So, they are doing everything possible to get the approval of the Committee with all the mess created in the financial sector and in the fight against the COVID-19. I cannot think for the Committee but they will find what is right.”
